High School Humanities Teacher

2015-16 School Year

Located on two campuses in San Francisco including our new LEED gold candidate high school, San Francisco Waldorf School was founded in 1979. The high school was founded in 1997. We are accredited by The Association of Waldorf School of North America and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We are a Kindergarten through Grade 12 with 440 students and 68 faculty members. In addition, the school supports a nursery program and early childhood classes for parents and children.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher for a full time position teaching High School Humanities for the 2015-16 school year. The ability to teach to a wide range of student abilities and sound classroom management skills are essential for the job. Teaching load will depend on expertise but the ideal candidate would be comfortable teaching all grade levels (9th-12th) Main Lessons and year-long skills classes in history, government, aesthetics, cultural studies and literature.

The desire to be part of the life of a Waldorf faculty teaching out of anthroposophy is essential.


  • College degree required, Waldorf High School Teaching certificate strongly desired
  • Teaching experience in a Waldorf high school desired
  • Teaching experience in public and private high schools is helpful
  • Aspiration to work in a highly cooperative atmosphere

Compensation and Benefits:
