High School Spanish Teacher

2014-15 School Year

San Francisco Waldorf High School opened its doors in 1997 as a coeducational college preparatory, independent secondary school, graduating its first class in 2011. San Francisco Waldorf High School is part of San Francisco Waldorf School, a K-12, non-profit, independent, day school, founded in 1979. In August 2007, SFWHS moved to its permanent, LEED gold certified home at 470 West Portal Avenue, near Stern Grove. As a result of this historic move, the school has been able to expand its student body, facilities, and program offerings. We are accredited by The Association of Waldorf School of North America (AWSNA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). 

Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher for a part time position teaching Spanish 1 for the 2014-15 school year. The ability to teach to a wide range of student abilities and sound classroom management skills are essential for the jobs.

Qualifications: 

  • College degree required, Waldorf High School Teaching certificate strongly desired
  • Teaching experience in a Waldorf high school desired
  • Teaching experience in public and private high schools is helpful
  • Aspiration to work in a highly cooperative atmosphere

Compensation and Benefits:
This is an hourly position based on teaching three Level 1 Spanish classes per week.
