Located on two campuses in San Francisco including our
new "green" high school, San Francisco Waldorf School
was founded in 1979, and the high school was founded in
1997. We are accredited by The Association of Waldorf
School of North America and the Western Association of
Schools and Colleges. We are a Kindergarten through
grade 12 school with 420
students and 65 faculty members. In addition, the
school supports a nursery program and early
childhood classes for parents and children.
Summary:
We have a full time position open in Science for
the 2010-11 school year, specifically for Geology,
Meterology/Oceanography, Thermodynamics and
Environmental Science. The position requires an
understanding of phenomenology and Goethean science
with an artistic approach to teaching. The ability
to teach to a wide range of student abilities is
also an essential part of the job.
Qualifications:
- College degree required, Waldorf High School
Teaching certificate strongly desired, Masters
degree highly recommended, additional graduate
studies advantageous.
- Strong background in subjects of teaching
position
- Teaching experience in a Waldorf high school
desired
- Teaching experience in public and private high
schools
- Please list other areas of interest to offer to
the high school curriculum
Compensation and Benefits:
Benefits: Base salary of $46,000 with increments for
Waldorf training and years of experience. Other benefits
include tuition remission, health and dental insurance.
