The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of San Francisco Waldorf School’s growing philanthropic efforts. Each year, parents, teachers, trustees, staff, friends, grandparents, and neighbors meet the financial needs of the school through generous and thoughtful gifts.
Annual Fund contributions are essential to the day-to-day operations of the school. Since SFWS is a 501(c)(3) organization, all gifts are tax-deductible for donors. These funds cover the gap in the operating budget that is not covered by tuition and other income to the school. The money is essential to the education, bridging costs of instructional materials, facilities renewal, and professional development for faculty.
The ongoing commitment and involvement of the entire community contribute to the vitality and sustainability of our school. Each year, as students continue to develop academically, socially, and emotionally, there is a renewed appreciation for the individuals that make this school so vibrant and successful through annual gifts.

Many companies have a matching gift program which can double or triple the value of your gift. Please check with your company's Human Resource Department. The matching gift must be initiated by you once you have contributed to San Francisco Waldorf School. When we receive the paperwork from the company, we can verify that your gift was made and complete the necessary documentation.
