We are an inclusive community dedicated to Waldorf education and San Francisco Waldorf School. The student experience is enriched by the committed participation of our parent community who contribute their time and energy in countless ways. The school also works to support parents through lectures, discussions, and parent evenings.
How do parents help?
Volunteering at School: Parents serve as Class Parents. They help with school events like the walk-a-thon, the annual holiday lunch, graduation, and more.
Events & Fundraising: Parents are instrumental in making school-wide events such as Spring Night a success. Parents raise funds for the school and serve as Advancement Liaisons.
Institutional Service: Parents serve in leadership roles on the Board of Trustees, the Multicultural Council, Parent Guild, and Parent Council.Contact the Advancement Office for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org or (415) 931-2750
Welcome Parents! Many volunteers efforts are coordinated through the Parent Council. This group of active and committed parents helps to build community and support the school. All parents are automatically members and encouraged to attend monthly meetings.
The school has a vibrant lecture series. Leading authors, activists, and thinkers visit through the school year. Previous speakers include Congressman John Lewis, Daniel Pink, and Anna Lappé.
