The Student Council meets at least once a week at lunchtime. Three representatives are elected from each class (two voting members and one alternate), and the group works with one or more faculty mentors to oversee many of the student activities on campus.
The Student Council represents the entire student body on issues pertaining to student life, reviews and approves clubs, runs an annual club fair at the beginning of the year, brings student issues to faculty meetings when necessary, decides how the student activities funds will be spent, and facilitates guest speaker appearances, school dances, the winter holiday luncheon, and the spring Walkathon fundraiser.
The Student Council has developed a healthy working relationship with the faculty and Parent Council, and on occasion sends representatives to their meetings to discuss student issues. The Student Council also helps other students develop skills in communication and working in groups.
