Grade School Last Day of Classes (Graduation only for Grade 8) / Early Dismissal:
- Kindergartens dismissed at 12:30
- Grades 1-7 dismissed by 1pm Please note that the Grades will end their day in Dakin Hall with our "goodbye spiral." As they come out from Dakin Hall, the younger grades will be moving east on the sidewalk to designated positions. We welcome parent volunteers to help guide the children to their dismissal spots.
We also ask that parents on the sidewalk keep younger siblings and gear out of the way of the areas coned off for the children coming out of Dakin Hall.

Summer Reading Lists are Posted!
Mrs. Grandin has finished consulting with all the class teachers and produced her highly customized, extraordinary summer reading lists. These lists contain information and often assignments from class teachers as well as Mrs. Grandin's thoughtful lists. Paper copies are distributed to students, but they are also posted online for easy reference regardless of where your summer takes you.

Pride Parade 2013
For the 4th year in a row SFWS be participate as part of the Independent Schools contingent in the 2013 Pride Parade in San Francisco on Sunday, June 29, 2013.

7th Grade Chemistry at the High School
Our current 7th Grade recently spent part of their chemistry block in our nicely appointed high school chemistry lab with our high school chemistry teacher Caroline Alba. Ms. Alba helped them create a mini website with the material they covered during their three day visit and invites you to take a peak here.

Please look for and collect your family's missing items from the Lost and Found bin. All remaining items after June 7 will be donated to a shelter.

Students from our senior class join grade 3 to play "baseball" on the red circle during their visit to the grade school campus this week.
The seniors were quick studies as the third grade explained the rules; the batting line-up (above at right) was a little long and the extra height in the "outfield" (above at left) tended to shorten the innings.

SFWS Alumna Available for Summer Nanny Work
My name is Elana Gurewitz, I am a SF Waldorf "lifer" and graduate, and am a rising sophomore at the University of Redlands. I am currently studying in India, but will be looking for babysitting/nanny jobs upon my return (June 15th). I drive and have a car, and I am open to doing art, sports, beach fun, and explorations with children of all ages. I have much experience with baby sitting and child care.
