Spring Night Report & Thanks

Thank you, thank you, thank you

Thank you to everyone for coming to the Spring Night Benefit and participating in the Online Auction.  Spring Night is very important to the school as a community event and is the largest fundraiser outside Annual Fund.  We could not succeed without your involvement.

Also, thank you to all of the people and businesses who made donations of items, funds or volunteer time.  It is your support that makes Spring Night so wonderful.

We would like to give special thanks to the following people and businesses:
  • Juliana Beach, Auction Chair, for organizing and overseeing the entire event.
  • Joel Benson of Dependable Letterpress and Beatrice Santiccioli for the invitations
  • Joseph and Mary Manzare of ZuppaTresHecho, and Globe for food and drinks and Dave McLean of Magnolia Pub & Brewery and The Alembic Bar for beer.
  • Juliana BeachKim BelesonRobin Alyse Doyle Garden DesignCynthia Foss, and Susan Brandabur for event décor and flowers.
  • Karl Green of Bonhams, New York, for volunteering his time as our auctioneer.
  • Our incredible auction staff, who included Jeni Vullings and Heather Mitchell for organizing the class projects, Amy Moon for database and administrative support, and Paula McCabe for managing the Silent Auction
  • Shannon Burchard, Cynthia Foss, and Marisa Toriggino for donation solicitation
  • Cory Powers, Melinda Price, and Rein Ratsep for office support
  • Justin Ganz for entertainment
  • Foamorder for donating foam filling for the Grade 5 class project

Fund-a-Need

This year our Fund-A-Need was developed to support outdoor classrooms at both the grade school and high school. At the grade school, we will build a greenhouse that will support the gardening program curriculum.  At the high school, we are building an outdoor patio space next to the natural area that borders our campus to the north. This space will serve as a classroom extension and gathering area.

To fully fund these two projects, we had a goal of $65,000.  We didn't quite reach this goal at Spring Night, but we are still fielding requests to support this effort.  If you are interested in either making a new gift or increasing the gift you made at the event, please contact Mitch Mitchell at (415) 931-2750 ext.322 or mmitchell@sfwaldorf.org.

Save the Date - April 27, 2013

Next year's auction will be April 27, 2013.  We have tentatively booked the General's Residence in Upper Fort Mason, as it was well received by all in attendance. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Financial Success

We are pleased to announce a great auction in terms of the financial impact for the school.  Our net revenue increased by 32% over last year, with a total of $144,657 raised to support the school!

Thanks to everyone that made this event financially successful!
