8th Grade Fundraising News

Art Cards
On a recent visit to the De Young Museum to see the William Paley collection, "A Taste of Modernism," the students were treated to an art class.  Challenged to create a work using bold blocks of color and at least two patterns, the 8th graders created pastel/tempera still life paintings that rival Matisse or Chagall (maybe).  These are available as sets of art cards (blank inside) or as postcards, both with envelopes.  Please stop by the office to get your set.  They make lovely gifts.

Olive Oil
The beautiful label on the bottle was designed by Milo Vella, one of our eighth graders. In our chemistry block we talked about how olive oil could be considered "liquid sunshine." You can still pre-order your lovely bottle of liquid sunshine on the form in the office, and we hope to have some additional bottles for sale at the Winter Fair. The olive oil is scheduled for delivery around November 30.
Thank you again for your support.
