In this ever-changing world, parents often wonder: How are social media sites like
Facebook affecting my teen? Is there a downside to Facebook? How can I stay up-todate
and promote good digital citizenship in my teen? The best way for parents to understand Facebook is to use it, but simply knowing what to do is not enough for parents.
Linda Fogg Phillips, one of the foremost authorities on the social media site Facebook as well as author of The Facebook Guide for Parents and co-author of Facebook for Parents, will discuss “how to think” about Facebook and its impact on your teen, including:
• Safety concerns
• Staying current
• Best practices for parents & teens, and how to stay connected
• Other uses for Facebook
• What’s new (or coming) from Facebook!
