PA Clothing Swap on Sunday, September 30, 12 - 2pm

Cleaning your closet?

Join the PA for its upcoming clothing swaps where we informally swap gently used clothing, sport equipment, and toys.  The synergy of all the families who bring and take items helps us all tread lightly on the earth and reserve purchasing new items when there is no alternative.  This is yet another practical lesson for our children to share the bounty of useful items with those in our community and to practice the art of letting go. Bring what you have; take what you need. With Halloween coming up it's a good time to pass on that outgrown costume.

  • What to bring? Gently used clothing, hats, socks, shoes, rain gear, sporting equipment (helmets, pads, cleats and the like), any clothes cluttering your closet that someone else can use. Please presort your items by size to make more time for your own shopping.
  • Who? This is for EVERYONE! We tend to see clothing for all ages and sizes. From baby to big kid to teenager to moms and dads.  Moms of younger children find it easier to shop without their kids and older grade kids might want to come search for a new treasure themselves.
  • When? We have reduced the time to a hour so everyone who can join the swap can come and go quickly.

Can't come but have something to share? Contact parent coordinator Kyra Baele (kyrachroma@gmail.com) for help.

As always, please find appropriate parking near school. This event is on a Sunday so we need to tread especially lightly on the neighborhood.

In the end,  everyone tends to find something they need. We provide backup clothes for kindergarten and nursery.  Extra items will be donated to a charity.
