Admission Process

Create Account

Once logged into your Ravenna account, search for "San Francisco Waldorf School" in the directory and select "Explore/Apply" to view and register for all events. Please make sure to use your preferred email address, as we will use it for communication throughout the application process. If you have an existing Ravenna account, please update your Student Profile: grade, current school, and any other relevant information. If you have already created an account, you can explore our school and submit your application.

Register for an Admission Event via Ravenna-Hub. We require families to attend either a Campus Tour or an Open House. We highly recommend that all families attend some of our other events to gain a thorough understanding of our school and community.

Submit an application on Ravenna. A $75 application fee is due with the submission. Application fee waivers are available upon request by contacting hsadmission@sfwaldorf.org.

  • We want to hear more about you in your own words. 
• Transcripts 
  • Seventh and Eighth Grade 
  • Transfers (current year and one year prior)
• Teacher Recommendation Forms
  • English, Math and Administrator/Counselor.This form will be sent to the designated teacher via email with a link to a secure Evaluation form.
• Student Interview
  • L​et us get to know you! In this 25-minute interview you will have a conversation with one of our Admission Committee members. You will have the opportunity to share about your personal interests and academic goals

Our Equitable Tuition Program (ETP) is designed to enable Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade students who have been accepted into our school to attend SF Waldorf by paying an Equitable Tuition Rate (ETR) that is a fit for their family's particular financial circumstances, while also allowing the school to provide an equitable wage for its employees. Our equitable tuition model is one way we live our value of ensuring that an SF Waldorf School education is accessible to every family who seeks it.

Our school uses Clarity for applications to our Equitable Tuition Program (ETP). Applications are due on January 8, 2026 for the High School. For other sections of the school, please confirm dates with your Admission representative. Admission decisions are not based on a family's financial circumstances and made separate from an Equitable Tuition Program application.
