It’s a step-by-step process that begins by exploring the school. After setting up an account through our Admission Portal, you can take a tour, attend an open house, and set up a student visit. The application for Admission is due by the January deadline. Decisions are shared in March.

Our students are bright, engaged, and curious. They are interested in exploring many subjects and trying their hands at many things. About half of each new class comes from San Francisco Waldorf's grade school and half comes from independent, public, parochial, and international middle schools from across the Bay Area and around the world.

We try to accommodate as many qualified students as possible and understand that being in a wait pool can be challenging. We don’t have a ranked list; we consider each student and each class individually and stay in touch through the entire process.

We welcome a limited number of transfer students depending on the space available in a class and the fit of the applicant. Contact the Admission Office to discuss.

We try to accommodate as many qualified students as possible and understand that being in a wait pool can be challenging. We don’t have a ranked list; we consider each student and each class individually and stay in touch through the entire process. A note about availability: 

• 3 nursery classes of 8 to 16 children.
• 3 kindergarten classrooms of 18 to 25 students.
• Each class is mixed-age, i.e. consisting of younger and older children, and available space varies. 

We offer an After Care (Nursery) and After School (Kindergarten through 5th grade) program. The programs provide children with wholesome snacks and harmonious days balanced with age-appropriate activities and rest. Both programs run until 5 pm with earlier pick up times available. Costs are roughly $11 - $13/hour.
