Grandparents and Special Friends Day
To our dear community members,
This year’s Grandparents and Special Friends Day has unfortunately been postponed. We made this decision in light of the outbreak of COVID-19 and in line with the City and County of San Francisco's recommendations. The health and safety of our community comes first.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Updates to this event for both campuses will be posted here as more details and plans come to fruition.
Thank you for your understanding,
Mitch Mitchell & the Advancement Office Team

During this special annual event, your guests (family and friends) visit classrooms, enjoy refreshments, and watch a Student Assembly. They see our teachers and students in action and experience the wonder and beauty of the Waldorf educational approach. (Due to space considerations, parents are not invited, but are encouraged to volunteer as hosts.)
Grade School Day
The nursery, kindergarten, and grade school celebration begins with a reception in Dakin Hall, which includes a presentation about a specific area of Waldorf education that changes annually. In the classrooms, students’ share their lesson books and projects with guests. The event concludes in Dakin Hall with a showcase of class performances. Students are dismissed early, allowing grandparents, friends, and students to leave together.
High School Day
The high school celebration begins with coffee and tea in the library, followed by a tour of the school and visits to classrooms. The program continues with a faculty presentation about Waldorf Education at our high school, and then concludes with guests joining a special school assembly.
