Winter Fair

We are delighted to have Winter Fair back at the Grade School campus!

What is Winter Fair?

Winter Fair, one of our most unique events, has been a tradition for over 40 years that brings together all three campuses, extended friends, and alumni. It is open to the larger San Francisco community and gives everyone an opportunity to experience the magic of Waldorf festival life.

Every December, the Grade School is transformed into a winter wonderland. Boughs of evergreen dotted with pine cones and sparkling snowflakes adorn the campus space and delight the senses. Woven throughout Winter Fair are festive games, crafts, baked goods, lunch fare, musical performances, and magical characters. Merchants sell handmade wares, and small moments of joy wait to be discovered. Winter Fair is an experience for the whole family. We hope to see you there!

The Winter Fair Committee

What does it mean to join?

Transforming the Grade School campus into a winter wonderland is an all-hands feat that requires a large volunteer body. The Winter Fair Committee oversees these moving parts and is involved in decision-making processes. Committee members get to see their hard work come to life the day of the fair as children and families roam the campus in awe.

Committee members meet weekly with the Advancement team and act as communication liaisons. They also plan all aspects of the fair, from food vendors and merchants to decorations, musical performances, and activities.
