Gifts come in many forms

Cash and Checks
Most gifts come in the form of personal/bank-issued checks or credit card payments. All checks should be made payable to San Francisco Waldorf School and mailed to the following address, or you can also make a donation online.

Electronic Funds Transfer
Many families elect to set up electronic fund transfers from a brokerage, checking or savings account. Please use the address listed above for automatic checks. If you prefer to wire funds to the school's account, you may use this wire transfer information.
Gifts of Stock
Making a stock gift is a wonderful way to share wealth, re-balance your portfolio, and take advantage of significant savings. Gifts of appreciated stock may allow a donor to avoid capital gains taxes in addition to receiving a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock. To initiate a gift of stock, follow the instructions on the appropriate stock transfer documents (Community Fund, Capital Campaign, Endowment). When the transfer is completed by our broker, email Mitch Mitchell.
Many companies have matching gift programs which can double or triple the value of your gift. Please check with your company's Human Resource Department. The matching gift must be initiated by you after you have contributed to San Francisco Waldorf School. When we receive notification from the company, we verify that your gift was made and complete the necessary documentation. The school is already registered with many companies and giving organizations, so this may be as simple as selecting the school as your beneficiary!
Pledges: Record your gift and pay over time
A pledge is a promise to make a specified payment at a future date or over time and is most often within the school's fiscal year for Community Fund or within a specific campaign's pledge horizon (up to 5 years in some cases). Pledges can be made by mail or e-mail; reminder letters will be mailed annually or at the times requested by the donor.
Gifts to non-profits like SFWS entitle donors to charitable income tax deductions, subject to IRS regulations. Please contact your accountant or the IRS for details.
