Parent/Guardian Leadership
At SFWS, we see education as a partnership between school and family. Parents/guardians, grandparents, and extended family are an important and beloved part of the San Francisco Waldorf School community, supporting our school’s continued excellence in many essential ways, from serving on the Board of Trustees to helping to execute keynote fundraising events like the annual Winter Fair to serving on the Parents Guild and Parents Council. Waldorf in the City
Like the city in which our school is located, our school is driven by both tradition and innovation. Located on two beautiful campuses in the heart of urban San Francisco, our school is a reflection of our home: creative, forward-thinking, and bold. Close to the Presidio, the Pacific Ocean, and several beautiful green spaces, our students explore the natural environment that defines the Bay Area while celebrating the vibrant culture that surrounds us. The residential West Portal neighborhood is home to our High School’s ADA-accessible and LEED-certified campus, surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops, public transportation, and parks within walking distance, including the verdant Stern Grove recreational complex and park. Our former students and their families are represented in diverse professional fields, from arts and politics to finance and tech. Bolstered by the lifelong friendships built at our school, our alum continue to collaborate, celebrate, and support San Francisco Waldorf School and its students, long after graduation.
