At San Francisco Waldorf School, we strive to empower students with independent thought, compassion, and a sense of justice that will drive their thoughtful engagement in their community and in the world. This is one reason why we offer students opportunities to get involved in the Bay Area community through service.
For years now, SFWS students and families have fostered a caring partnership with the Raphael House of San Francisco by hosting multiple drives on our campuses. Families have donated food, goods, and other essentials while students have made flyers announcing the drive and gathered, boxed, and delivered the items to the family shelter. These essential goods go to the many resident families as well as to those in their Bridge program. This united effort of giving has brought as much joy to the school community as well as to the families served.
The Raphael House is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and taking the time to highlight the essential work they do as well as the relationships they value.
