Student Leadership Conference

NOT ALL SPEED IS MOVEMENT: redefining community through action

DATE: Saturday, March 15, 2025
TIME: 9:30am - 4:00pm
LOCATION: San Francisco Waldorf High School

Join us for the inaugural San Francisco Student Leadership Conference at San Francisco Waldorf High School in collaboration with Alma Partners. Not all speed is movement,” a quote by Toni Cade Bambara, creates a theme that progress is not measured by the pace at which we act but by the depth of our impact. These words challenge our communities to resist the allure of quick fixes, especially in the face of generative AI, and embrace deliberate, lasting change as we step into an unsettling political landscape. This conference aims to redefine community in action: not as a race towards external validation-driven outcomes but as a collaborative impact-oriented journey. By reimagining intentionality as rooted in reflection, in-depth listening, and the courage to confront uncomfortability, we can better lean on our communities to incite change and therefore move towards a more DEI-conscious future. This, we believe, is where the real change lies.

If you have any questions, please email SLC@sfwaldorf.org. We look forward to welcoming you to a day of reflection, inspiration, and action!
