San Francisco Waldorf School is an independently run, collaboratively governed institution.
Three governing entities assume distinct governance responsibilities and strive for consensus on major policy decisions. This system of shared governance supports the development of a strong, healthy community from which students learn and grow.
- The Board of Trustees oversees the school’s overall fiscal, legal, and structural health
- The College of Teachers oversees instructional theory and practice
- The Administrative Director oversees daily operations and is guarantor for San Francisco Waldorf School Association
The school also has an Administrative Council that supports timely decision-making and communications across governing entities. The Council serves as a central leadership team that includes representatives from the Administration, College of Teachers, and Board of Trustees.
