Ways to Give

There are many ways to give to San Francisco Waldorf School. If you would like to discuss any of these options in more detail, please contact Mitch Mitchell in the Advancement Office (mmitchell@sfwaldorf.org, 415-875-7211).

Cash and Checks

Most gifts to San Francisco Waldorf School come in the form of personal checks or credit card payments. Such gifts entitle donors to a charitable income tax deduction subject to IRS regulations. All checks should be made payable to San Francisco Waldorf School and mailed to the following address, or you can also make a donation online.

Electronic Funds Transfer

If you would like to spread out your pledge payments, many families elect to set up electronic fund transfers from a checking or savings account. Please use the address listed above for automatic checks. If you prefer to wire funds directly to the school's account, you may use this information.

Gifts of Stock

Making a stock transfer gift is a wonderful way to share the wealth, rebalance your portfolio, and take on significant savings. Gifts of appreciated stock may allow a donor to avoid a capital gains tax in addition to receiving a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock. To initiate a gift of stock, we ask that you follow the instructions on the appropriate stock transfer documents (Annual Fund, Campaign, Endowment). Please email Mitch Mitchell (mmitchell@sfwaldorf.org) with information about your stock transfer when it is completed by your broker.

Matching Gifts

This area of giving is where our school benefits directly from many corporate and foundation gifts. Many companies have a matching gift program which can double or triple the value of your gift. Please check with your company's Human Resource Department. The matching gift must be initiated by you after you have contributed to San Francisco Waldorf School. When we receive the paperwork from the company, we can verify that your gift was made and complete the necessary documentation. We are already registered with many companies and giving organizations, so this may be as simple as selecting San Francisco Waldorf School as your beneficiary!

Pledges - Record your gift and pay over time or at a future date

Donors who wish to contribute at a future date may make a pledge. A pledge is a promise to make a specified payment within the school's fiscal year for Annual Fund or within a specific campaign's pledge horizon (may be up to 5 years in some cases). Pledges can be made by mail or e-mail. Pledge reminder letters will be mailed annually or at the times requested in your pledge.

Make an online pledge to Annual Fund or to the Home Court Campaign.
