San Francisco and the World

Families join the school from across the Bay Area and around the world—India, Israel, Iran, Japan, Germany, Mexico, Spain, and Taiwan, to name a few places. Over any year, one teacher is on sabbatical in Kenya and another is supporting a Waldorf school in China. Our students study at Waldorf high schools abroad, and exchange students join our school as part of a reciprocal program.

Close to home, our classes explore the Presidio, perform for West Portal neighbors, and volunteer around the City. We host renowned authors, artists, and thinkers for lectures. Families share their culture and customs with classmates and the community. Together, we celebrate, reflect, and grow as we help students to know themselves and know the world.

Portrait of student Tallulah Taylor

“The Waldorf community is one that inspires creativity and freedom of thought, evokes strength and fearlessness, and supports individualism and independence. But more than anything, Waldorf teaches the power and significance of gratitude and love.”
