Our rich community life at San Francisco Waldorf School is augmented by a number of events and celebrations that support fundraising and the arts.
Fairy Walk: Halloween draws near, it is time for Fairy Walk! Join us for this magical event filled with queens and kings, gnomes and fairies, music and merriment.
Dads Night: Dads of Waldorf students gather for an evening of conversation, food and drink. Smokestack at Magnolia Brewing is hosting this year - don't miss out on this great opportunity to relax and mingle with other Dads in our community!
Golf Benefit: Enjoy a round of golf with friends at a San Francisco Golf Course. Compete for prizes or come to watch. All levels welcome.
Walk & Roll to School Day: Join SFWS in this global event that gives children, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members an opportunity to work together to make their communities safer and more pleasant for walking.
Winter Fair: Winter Fair is a community celebration of the season, with games, performances, and a marketplace. Sponsored by the Advancement team, with parent support.
HS Winter Concert: Winter Concert features our high school musical ensembles: Jazz Band, Orchestra, Guitar, Drumming, and Concert Choir. Join us for an evening of music and community!
One Time Only - Living Odyssey 7: Performances of Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, Book 5, Book 8 and Book 13 with featured performances from SFWS Alumni James Freebury, accompaniments by local artists.
Sports Basement Fundraiser: Stock up on winter gear, support the school, and enjoy an evening of family fun! At the Sports Basement Fundraiser, our community enjoys refreshments and social time while taking advantage of merchandise discounts. The school also receives benefits from the store.
All School Skating: Join family and friends on the ice for this magical winter tradition. Skaters of all ages welcome – a gift to the community from the Dads of San Francisco Waldorf School.
Winter Alumni Reunion: Catch up with old friends and families at our Winter Alumni Reunion. We welcome parents and alumni age 18 and older to the high school. The event draws between 75 and 100 people each year; alumni from other Waldorf schools are also encouraged to attend.
HS Eurythmy Troupe: San Francisco Youth Eurythmy Troupe is an acclaimed performing arts group that is open to students in tenth through twelfth grades. The Troupe produces an annual showcase for San Francisco audiences then performs internationally, hosted by Waldorf school communities abroad.
Grandparents & Special Friends Day: Grade school children welcome grandparents and special friends for a day of performance, exploration, and community.This special day is treasured across the generations.
Spring Night: Parents, faculty, and friends of the community come together for an evening of fine dining, music, dancing, and a spectacular live auction.
Moms Night: Moms of Waldorf students enjoy an evening together at Cocoon Urban day Spa. Dinner, drinks and mani/pedis are on the agenda – come for the whole evening or drop in as you’d like.
GS Spring Concert: Hear the grade school class orchestras perform at the beautiful Calvary Presbyterian Church. The performance is a family favorite.
May Faire: Flower garlands and Morris Dancers, marionettes and May poles – Spring has arrived! Join family and friends for a joyous Sunday celebration.There is something for the entire family and lots of good food, including the traditional strawberry shortcake.
NEW! 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament: Hosted by the SFWS Alumni, the tournament is open to 6th grade and up. Enjoy a day of fun and competitive basketball, food, drink, and music. Play as a family, a class, or with your friends.
Founders' Night: In honor of the school founders, we offer a showcase of high school student art and academic work! Visit the classrooms, enjoy musical performances, and grab a bite to eat at our food truck.
Summer Alumni Reunion: Join other adult alumni in mid-June for a night of drinks, food, and fun. We have traditionally filled a restaurant/bar in San Francisco, but stay posted for new and exciting venue ideas.
Opportunities for volunteering at SFWS are numerous. Being an active volunteer strengthens our community, fosters joy in our work efforts, and creates opportunities for connection. Whether you feel called to make a larger commitment or contribute just an hour from time to time, there is a way for everyone to engage that is meaningful and fulfilling.
