Bike & Roll to School Day
This year, Bike & Roll to School Week is Monday, April 16th - Friday, April 20th. We are celebrating on Tuesday, April 17th and Wednesday, April 18th!
Looking to volunteer at this community wide event? Sign up here.
Bike & Roll to School Day is a global event that gives children, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members an opportunity to increase visibility of biking and rolling - wheelchair, scooter, skates or skateboards - and work together to make our communities safer and more pleasant.
Looking for a comprehensive introduction into urban riding, riding in the rain and fog, or classes for family biking? The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition has all the classes for you! Check out classes here.
If you are interested in finishing your ride to campus with other participating families, please meet at one of two meeting locations by 7:45am: The corner of Sacramento & Divisadero or the corner of Sacramento & Baker.
At 8:10am, we ask that you begin your final ride to campus. Don't forget to drop by the table in front of the school between 8:10 and 8:30 for Bike & Roll to School Week swag, treats and refreshments! Have fun out there and ride safely!
Always wear a helmet. It's not only important to protect your child, it's the law for riders 18 and under.
Be as visible as possible. Wear bright clothing and install reflectors and lights on your bike.
Stay off the roads. Ride only in bike lanes or along marked bike routes. For children up to 13, it's OK to ride on the sidewalk.
