Sorting Things Out

Noreen Cooper Heavlin (Alumni Parent)

I organize home offices, personal libraries, and help reduce household clutter in every room of the house.

I specialize in helping people through transitions - moving, downsizing, career changes, birth, bereavement or temporary disability. Even good changes can feel overwhelming - which is why it's nice to have help. With a Masters in Library and Information Sciences, I'm also an expert at organizing home offices, setting up filing systems that work for you, and online searching.

Go from farm to table and beyond in stylish and uniquely shaped Millie | Lottie food market & picnic totes (TM). These chic bags include our trademarked light cutting board on bottom, enabling you to effortlessly carry everything from pies to Pinot, along with room for anything else you need. Locally produced in San Francisco by mom and design entrepreneur Jan Hammock, this line of luxurious bags and wraps is designed for fashionable modern moms, good cooks, and anyone who wants to share food in style. Designed to carry food but stylish enough to carry every day. Your one tote. Millie | Lottie donates a portion of every tote sold to non-profits that provides nutrition education in under-served communities in San Francisco and CA. Hello, I'm Jan, a mom of two teens, wife, cook and design entrepreneur of Millie | Lottie, a San Francisco brand of food Market & Picnic Totes. These products come to you directly from my dreams. I offer you my totes that are a modern, stylish and functional solution to carrying and sharing food. - Jan Hammock, Design Entreprenuer. Millie | Lottie is named in honor of my family influences - my mom Mildred and Aunt Lottie Gray. My mom mastered the world of entertaining and sharing her well-loved culinary dishes around our small town in Virginia. She was practical, had style and lived her life to the fullest, surrounded by community. I grew up being branded by scorching dishes balanced on my lap. Lottie was a true Southerner by design and by desire. The individual products are named after my children and close family friends. Sustainable Design, Production and Product. My products reflect how I live my life, conscious of the footprint we leave. I shop for groceries by minimizing packing, carefully recycling, composting, reducing use of plastic bags, straws or containers. We support local farmers markets, makers and shops. Waste informs my design, production and the very nature of my reusable products. Materials are sourced in CA, when possible. Contractor team members are located within 2 miles of my studio. Our patterns are marked to have minimal waste. I use most of my leather hide, leaving only a hand-full of scraps. The hides come from cows that were used for their meat. Left-over leather inspired new designs. I use shorter straps on my Branch Tote to reduce waste and the stylish side-pulls on the Etta Tote. What I do not use I donate to local artists. I am never satisfied. I am always looking for new ways to improve. I am very proud to be a part of the vibrant manufacturing community as a member of SFMade and Bay Area Made.
