Alex Martins Surfboard Repair

Alex Martins (Parent)

High quality ding repair is our primary focus and specialty. You can expect your newly repaired board to be returned to you watertight, on time and cleanly restored.

All work is guaranteed and we hope all of our customers leave completely satisfied. If you have any questions, let's talk about it. We try our best and are more than happy to explain our process. We repair fiberglass, epoxy and wood surfboards as well as Firewires and kite boards, but not SUPS due to limited space. Our second priority is cleanliness. You can expect a neat shop with fresh air. We use dust management equipment, adequate ventilation, HEPA filtration and a little elbow grease. Our third priority is the environment. We do all we can to manage our footprint by using resin that is VOC free, reusing supplies as much as possible and of course, recycling. Our goal is to change the business of ding repair into one that is efficient, clean and healthier for the environment.

Outdoors Empowered Network is growing a powerful network of member programs that get youth outdoors through wilderness leadership training and outdoor Gear Libraries. OEN provides backbone organizational support to these organizations through a National Summit, outdoor gear and a host of additional network support services.

The change we want to see in the world is not small. The Outdoors Empowered Network aims to affect a generation by connecting youth to nature and breaking down the barriers to access—fear, expensive equipment, transportation, and trained adults to take them on immersive outdoor trips. We are a growing a network of Member Programs to share resources and amplify our impact by creating opportunities for as many youth as possible to experience wilderness. The Network is replicating and supporting programs that are structurally collaborative by design, putting resources into the hands of teachers and youth workers around the country so they can take their students outdoors. We are studying and learning from a Collective Impact Approach to change, including convening annually in person and often through technology to grow our effectiveness and our impact.
