Ways to Give
There are many ways to make a gift to the Home Court Campaign. We hope that you will consider meeting with any of our campaign committee members before making a meaningful gift, as we want everyone to understand the full scope of the project and its benefits. If you would like to discuss in more detail, please contact Mitch Mitchell in the Advancement Office (firstname.lastname@example.org, 415-875-7211).
Pledges to the Home Court Campaign
Donors who wish to contribute an amount to the campaign that is larger than they could give in a single installment often choose to make a pledge. A pledge is a promise to make specified payments within the next one to four years (2017-2021). Please fill out this form to start the process, and the Advancement Office will follow up with more details.
Cash and Checks
Most gifts to San Francisco Waldorf School come in the form of personal checks or credit card payments. Such gifts entitle donors to a charitable income tax deduction subject to IRS regulations. All checks should be made payable to San Francisco Waldorf School and mailed to the school address, or you can also make a donation online.
Gifts of Stock
Making a stock transfer gift is a wonderful way to share the wealth, rebalance your portfolio, and take on significant savings. Gifts of appreciated stock may allow a donor to avoid a capital gains tax in addition to receiving a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock. To initiate a gift of stock, we ask that you complete the online donation form, and we will followup with instructions on making the transfer. If you prefer, you can send the instructions on the stock gift form to your broker directly and then email Mitch Mitchell (email@example.com) with information about your stock transfer when it is completed.
Electronic Funds Transfer
If you would like to spread out your pledge payments, many families elect to set up electronic fund transfers from a checking or savings account. Please use the school's business address (2938 Washington Street, SF, CA 94115) for automatic checks. If you prefer to wire funds directly to the school's account, you may use this information.
This area of giving is where our school benefits directly from corporate and foundation gifts. Many companies have a matching gift program that can double or triple the value of your gift. Please check with your company's Human Resource Department. The matching gift must be initiated by you after you have contributed to San Francisco Waldorf School. When we receive the paperwork from the company, we can verify that your gift was made and complete the necessary documentation. We are registered with several companies and giving organizations already, so this may be as simple as selecting San Francisco Waldorf School as your beneficiary!
Everyone who gives to the Home Court Campaign will be listed on a Wall of Honor. For a gift of $5,000 or more, a recognition plaque will be placed on the indoor seating in honor of your family or loved one. Donors of $1,000 or more will receive special Home Court Campaign spirit wear to celebrate at the official opening of the Center.
